Apple Pudding
A deliciously hot and sticky apple pudding with caramel sauce, made with Natura Sugars Fine Demerara sugar.
INGREDIENTS
Butter 250g
Natura Sugars Fine Demerara Sugar 250ml
Eggs 4 large
Self-Raising Flour 250ml
Baking Powder 5ml
Tinned Apples 1 large tin
Cream 250ml
Natura Sugars Fine Demerara Sugar 250ml
Vanilla Extract 5ml
METHOD
Cream the butter and Natura Sugars Fine Demerara sugar, adding eggs one at a time until the mixture is light and fluffy. Sift in the flour and baking powder and mix well. Place into two buttered pie dishes and top with tinned apples.
Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes.
Bring the cream, Natura Sugars Fine Demerara sugar and vanilla extract to the boil. Once the cake is baked take out of the oven and prick with a fork, then spoon syrup generously over the top.
Place back in the oven for a further 7 to 10 minutes.
Best served hot with and extra drizzle of caramel sauce.
